Lecture - Irish Format - Intro to the Irish Format


Lecture: Irish Times Debate Format from Steve Llano on Vimeo.

A lecture given by the Irish Times Debating Champions in March 2010 at the King's College Debate Society, Manhattan.

Lecturing are Irish Times winners Sean O'Quigley, Niall Sherry, and Niamh Ni Mhaoleoin. The lecture is split between them in this order, with Sean taking basic rules and structure, Niall discussing argumentation, and Niamh considering style in Irish Times debating.

Attending the workshop were students from St. John's University, Queens and students from the King's College, Manhattan.

Introducing the debate is Dr. Michael Hostetler, Chair of the Department of Rhetoric, Communication and Theater at St. John's University, New York.
